After graduating from Tyler School of Art (Temple University) as a BFA in Photography and Graphic Design, I began my career as an Art Director at Saks Fifth Avenue, working with New York's top photographers and talent as well as traveling to Paris to photo-document fashion shows, storefronts, and street fashion trends.
Fulltime roles with global ad agencies (McCann, Chiat/Day, and Saatchi & Saatchi) took me from New York to New Zealand, Los Angeles to San Francisco. Today, I'm a freelance/fine art photographer, brand design consultant dba The Offswitch, creative contributor to Bay Area nonprofits, and creative director for GalleryHG.
I've always felt the best photography feels real, vital, and timely, capturing and telling a story in real time. While some great work can feel "timeless", other images stop and immortalize a singular, fleeting moment. Ironically, singular moments and images are infinite and absolutely everywhere. So, as a photographer — with the eye and training of a graphic designer — all I'm really doing is "framing art" as I see it in the world.
